Just so you know...

The Avon walk for Breast Cancer is a 501 (c)3 public not for profit charity. They organize and fund wonderful projects and grants to help the whole woman. They help fund free and partial pay mammograms for those who are un and underinsured. They provide services to help with diagnostic and treatment services that those women might not have been able to afford. They give to those organizations who make sure that families of women with BC get nurishment and healthy meals and those patients make it to thier Dr., radiation and chemo appointments on time. These women get resourses that they may not have known existed or believed they could not afford. The Avon foundation is based on a company who is run by women for women and are saving lives every day by not just giving thier money to research but to support the whole woman, her family and thier needs.

I'm walking this weekend. July 7th and 8th in San Francisco. I raised $1800 to walk almost 40 miles through San Fransisco. I sacrafised, trained beged and thanked every one who helped make this weekend a success. I am proud to be in a country where we can go out and walk, raise support and awareness for a disease we couldn't even talk about 15 years ago. I'm proud to be an american...
